Selling a used Knif Soma tube eq in very good working condition. Fantastic passive mastering eq! Ultra high quality unit that’s built like a tank. Sonically it’s big and smooth! Very clean, precise with a lovely tube softness. Can be driven harder for more color and saturation with the +6 switch. Can also be used in MS.
Bought new directly from Knif in 2018, and has been used in a smoke free mastering studio since. It was retubed in 2021. It Includes an extra set of spare tubes.
Being used it has a couple of minor flaws I‘ll state for the add. None of which take away from the quality of the unit sonically or in any way:
- The left rack ear has a scratch
- The right channel low frequency selector (encoder) should stop at 27hz, but goes all the way round. According to Jonte Knif the stopper mechanism inside these encoders break very easily when tightening the nut underneath the pot cover. In daily use it’s not noticeable, so I‘ve not gotten it replaced myself. The encoder otherwise works like expected. Basically a bagatelle.
