With a heavy heart, I'm considering selling this mixer if the right offer comes in. It’s an Audient ASP 8024 mixer, purchased from England through Don Larkin’s company 8 years ago (Larkins List), completely overhauled, and previously used in the studio of the artist Brian McFadden. Larkins occasionally sells these, and they tend to sell quickly.
As a mixer, it’s reminiscent of an SSL, but much cheaper to operate. It draws very little power.
This is the mixer Pete Townshend from The Who has in his studio! It has incredible mic preamps with a British character.
As far as I know, there’s nothing wrong with it. Everything works as it should, and all the lights are functioning.
The power supply was overhauled last year.
This is a beautiful mixer, with self-cleaning buttons among other features. It offers amazing possibilities yet remains incredibly easy to learn. 80 inputs, 24-track routing, full inline, and a built-in stereo compressor in the main section.
It’s best to read up on the mixer online. It was designed by the legend David Dearden and had a new price of around half a million.
It comes in various sizes, but this is the largest and most expensive model.
Also included is a Digidesign controller for Pro Tools, which works well with the latest macOS and Pro Tools 12.
Size: 2.4 m wide x 1.07 m deep
The mixer is in full daily use and can be seen and tested in Bergen city center.
It is being sold ONLY due to moving to a smaller space.
Additionally, there are 6 Neutrix Rean MA96 96-point patchbays and cables for absolutely everything! (This includes 24-track direct to DAW). The cables and patch bays alone are worth over 5500. Everything is soldered to XLR or balanced jack where appropriate. Used Neutrix Rean Patchbays cost around 600 each! The cables cover almost the entire rack.
PS: The buyer bust organize freight. I recommend using a company that can load this on a trailer. That's what I did when it was shipped from the UK. The price is adjusted so freight should be possible.
