Up for sale is a vintage Vox AC100 Mk. II tube head from 1967 in excellent condition and working order. His legendary AC100 was designed by Dick Denny specifically for the Beatles in 1963 with the goal of making an amp powerful enough to be heard over the screams of Beatlemania. At the time of its introduction, it was the most powerful amp ever made. It delivers the clean, balanced sound of the AC30 at a deafening 80-100W (clean), the instantly recognizable Vox sound, and a big overdrive sound when you really push it. The AC100 is a dual input model with simple controls for volume, treble and bass.
Today, an original AC100 is extremely rare, with only a few thousand built between 1963 and 1969.
It has just been overhauled and retubed with an EL34 Tube Amp Doctor quad.
