About This Listing

Linn Axis:
A follow up to one of the most highly-regarded turntables of all time!

Item Description

The Linn Axis, released in the 1980s by the Scottish Linn Products, is a well-regarded hi-fi turntable which follows in the footsteps of the LP12 Sondek. While this Axis doesn’t share the extreme price tag of the LP12, the Axis offers phenomenal performance. It features a 24-pole synchronous motor with an internal oscillator and dual Class A amps to drive the platter rotor via belt. Calibration of the phase and amplitude of the 2 amps can eliminate motor noise and vibrational resonances. It has a die-cast aluminum platter and a handsome design overall. Although Linn is most known for the LP12, this Axis model is a great turntable in its own right. Don’t miss it!

This particular unit is in very good condition, with some natural signs of age and use overall, including some scratches and scuffs (please check photos). The dustcover has some scratches (please see dust cover policy below.). Furthermore, it has been thoroughly tested and checked by our professional in-house technician, confirming its flawless working quality.
