For sale is a vintage exclusively Japanese-made Silver Series Stratocaster in “Mint” 100% original condition, and beautiful hard case from 1993. Serial number O 020593 Fender
. The Squier Silver Series was created to counter good quality Korean guitars (Young Chang in particular).
The Squier Silver Series Strats were well received, and they remained available until around the spring of 1995. They cannot be compared with the low priced plywood budget sector Made in Korea Squier’s.
It has a Solid alder body with superior shaping to the ’57 and ’62 Japanese Fender bodies of the 80s, with smoother and rounder edges. Good quality Gotoh tuners and vintage style tremolo. The pickups have quite a thick sound for a single coil, which I personally like a lot. Really nice 57 style beefy neck with truss rod adjustment on the headstock face. This guitar is in near new condition, plays and sounds superb, and probably spent most of the last 24 years under someone's bed. I can put it head to head with a Fender Japan Stratocaster.
Neck is
straight, fret are top condition, string height low. No breaks, issues or
repairs. The guitar has new strings. The guitar has been given a professional
setup and is intonated.
