This is a Fender Mexico Pawn Shop Super-Sonic in Apple Red Flake. Based on the serial number, it was made in 2012. It is a very flashy and cool-looking guitar.The Super-Sonic was originally released in 1997 by Squier as part of the Vista Series, alongside models such as the Venus. It did not sell very well at the time and was discontinued after only a few years. However, its rare and distinctive body shape gradually gained popularity among collectors, and prices began to rise.More than 10 years later, around 2012, the model was revived as part of the Pawn Shop Series, this time made in Mexico. This guitar is one from that reissue period.Interestingly, even the Pawn Shop Super-Sonic did not sell particularly well at the time and was discontinued again after around two years. Once it was discontinued, demand increased again and prices started to climb.Perhaps because production numbers were low, these rarely appear for sale even on Reverb in recent years. Because of this finish, even if there are minor marks, they are difficult to notice. The protective film is still present on the pickguard and back panel. There is also plenty of fret life remaining, and the electronics work properly. Please note that the pickguard has slightly yellowed with age.
