Today, JHS Pedals has unveiled a brand-new pedal called the Kodiak Tremolo, which takes after the company's mono Kodiak 500-series analog Tremolo.
The new tremolo stompbox is based around classic Vox and Blackface tremolo sounds, mixing that vintage feel with modern controls like onboard tap-tempo and subdivisions, as well as four different wave shapes. Sine can be used for a classic amp sound, Square for choppy trem sounds, Ramp for warble, or Rhythmic for a unique tremolo suitable for alternate time signatures and experimentation.
Tremolo speed can be controlled via the tap-tempo control or the dedicated Speed knob, and players can use the Ratio control to dial in even faster speeds synced with the BPM of the tap setting. Users can also use the Kodiak like a preamp by dialing the Mix knob all of the way back and using the Volume knob as a boost.
Equipped with a tap/expression jack on the right, users can connect an external tap or expression pedal and then select either "TAP" or "EXP" switch on left side of the Kodiak to make the effect even more dynamic. The Kodiak is available now. You can watch a demo below from Livingroom Gear Demos. And click here to get your own right here on Reverb.
