The combination of a PRS DS-01 humbucker in the bridge position and a PRS Narrowfield pickup in the neck position creates a broad tonal palette with plenty of definition, dynamics, and articulation. Thanks to the push/pull tone control, you can easily switch between humbucker and single-coil characteristics, making the Vela at home in virtually any musical style.
The Black Limba body offers a resonant, open tone with a warm midrange response and beautiful natural grain patterns that are perfectly accentuated by the Natural Smokeburst finish. The bolt-on maple neck, featuring a Pattern Regular profile and a 25" scale length, provides the familiar PRS playing feel, striking an excellent balance between comfort and stability.
