The Marshall 1959RR Randy Rhoads signature is a legendary piece of rock history that meticulously recreates the specific tonal characteristics of the amplifiers used by the late Blizzard of Ozz guitarist. This edition is highly coveted by collectors due to its remarkably low production run. The history of this model dates back to 1980, when Randy Rhoads visited the Marshall factory in Bletchley. During that visit, he personally requested two custom 100-watt Super Lead heads to be finished in white levant vinyl, a striking aesthetic choice that became his visual trademark.

Technically, the 1959RR is a 100-watt tube head driven by four EL34 power valves and three ECC83 preamp valves. While it shares the foundational architecture of the classic 1959 Plexi, its defining feature is the famous factory-integrated "hot rod" modification. This specific internal tweak involves cascading the two channels in series rather than the traditional parallel configuration. By linking the channels internally, the amplifier achieves a massive increase in preamp gain and a searing, harmonic-rich distortion that perfectly captures the "modified" sound common in the early 1980s metal scene. This unit remains in pristine condition, looking as though it just left the factory floor, though it is important to note that it unfortunately does not include the original certificate of authenticity issued by Marshall.
