Here, you are bidding on a matching pair MD30-2 PGH Funkberater Berlin microphones with consecutive serial numbers!

They come incl. adapters to XLR (plug&play). They are tested extensively and are in wonderful working condition! Absolute secret weapon, read the description! Maybe the one-and-only chance for such a lovely pair MD30-2...

The boxes are original but are in bad shape but can be fixed without much effort .

These are very cool studio-grade vintage mics. They are NOT built by Gefell as it is sometimes said. But they also wear the "1" in the triangular, which was the signature for highest-quality in the ex-GDR. Also devices from Neumann, Gefell or Geithain got this sign and for sure you know these brands : )

The MD30-2 is small-sized dynamic mic with omni-characteristics.
A secret weapon for Cajon (rear and front), Guitar amps, Leslies, drums and percussions. Caused by the omni-characteristic, it nearly has no proximity-effect and it is perfect for close-up position. Highly recommended for getting the very best sound out of your Orange, Fender or Roland cabs or your Leslie! With this matching pair, in perfect stereo-tracking!

Very cool and Cajon and even Bass-Drum, with a big and very concrete Low-end! No mud, very defined but with a lot of muscles! Also a top choice for any other percussion set!

Don`t get me wrong: I do not declare this pair as a matching stereo-pair just because the serial numbers are consecutive! I tested them extensively, and they indeed are tracking very nice! I checked that up against four other MD30-2. One with a very close serial number. None is matching, but this pair is.

In the ex-GDR, they had a lot of problems to get steadily the same parts. I am talking about transistors, resistors, capacitors ect... So, it often happens, that you have two devices from the same type, with relatively close serial-numbers, but they are using totaly different parts inside. And so, also differ soundwise.

These MD30-2 have the serial-numbers 47850 and 47851 and are matching perfectly! Number 47850 has some smaller spots with a little rust, but nothing serious and nothing which harms the function.

Perfect working condition, incl. adapters on XLR ! PLUG & PLAY !!

These preamps are untested and sold as they are. But be ensured: If they have serious defects, you are allowed to give them back !
