Sony PS-2700 (1976) + Ortofon Banana Sold As Is

Sony PS-2700 Belt Driven Turntable with Tonar/Ortofon Banana cartridge with good stylus.

Normally a Full Automatic turntable but this one has been converted to Manual Control since it is missing the Main Gear Cam that drives the Automatic system.

So when the power is turned on the platter will start spinning and the needle need to be put manually onto the record, also the arm will not return automaticly when the end of the record is reached.

Knobs start/stop/repeat and record size selection have no more function and don't work since it is in manual mode now.

Player itself is cosmetic good shape without any major scratches but does have some small user marks.. Heavy die-cast aluminium body and wooden plint. Misses a small part of the rpm selctor switch but this can still be operated.

Dustcover is a Sony dustcover but belongs to a different model so it will not fit the hinges of this model. But better a cover then no cover at all. Dustcover is still clear with minor user marks.

Comes with Tonar/Ortofon Banana cartridge where, as with many, the finger handle has broken off. This has been fixed with a black tie wrap which works just as well. Stylus is still in good working condition.

So it can still be used but is sold as is. If you can track down the correct center gear cam the player can be put back to normal full automatic mode.
