The Schmelzer model #2 trombone is fully gold-plated. It is a very light trombone with a fast slide. It has a warmer, bigger sound with more depth than model #1, but it brightens nicely when you push it. The instrument works great in a studio or for solo performances and can serve well as a lead in a Big Band.
