In collaboration with guitar legend Michael Landau, Japanese boutique effects manufacturer Vemuram has introduced the Butter Machine - according to Michael Landau, the ultimate distortion/overdrive pedal that replaces his venerable SD-9 with flying colours. In addition to the standard control functions of volume, tone and gain, the Butter Machine pedal also has 2 trim pots on the front panel, which can be used to fine-tune the low-mid range and the sparkle top end. The pedal delivers an open, round and dense high-gain distortion sound without excessive compression and without sharp, shrill highs. All this in the usual outstanding Japanese manufacturing quality with the best components, top workmanship and first-class sound.
