The patented VT system (ES 1119430 U) is based on two basic principles: the adaptation of the bridge dimensions to the standard cavity of the ST models and the bridge pivoting system. The adaptation of the dimensions aims to allow the bridge to enter freely into the cavity of the guitar body when the lever is pulled back (string tensioning action) and requires redesigning the entire assembly (saddles, plate, and block). To optimize the movement of the bridge, it was necessary to change the center of action of the pivot by adding a piece (fulcrum) that replaces the traditional concept of support on screws, giving more amplitude to this movement. The shape of the fulcrum support point of the plate has also been changed, minimizing friction to the maximum, which is practically non-existent. The result is a homogeneous action very pleasant to the musical interpretation totally free of unwanted noises. (The use of low friction saddles and locking pegs is recommended).
