This was a custom order to produce a replica of Mark Knopfler's original 1988 Pensa-Suhr MK1.
The Guitar follows the same dimensions as the Pensa original, however the carving around the inner upper horns is slightly different.
- 2 piece Mahogany back / 2 piece carved straight grain maple top / 22 fret rosewood fingerboard / flamed maple neck / fully bound with StuMac binding and aged
- EMG SA/SA/89 incl coil tap switch and SPC mid boost on the tone pot
- 2x 9v batteries
The Guitar comes with a custom fitted case made by Calton. It was listed at £1200 initially, however sensible offers will be accepted as a prompt sale is required hence the price drop. The Guitar has been fully serviced, set up, re-strung, frets polished and electrics cleaned. As the original owner, my name had been added to the headstock face, which has now been removed and refinished for sale purposes.
