Luigi Fenga, 1866-1939, was a violin maker from Catania, Italy. He is considered to have been a violin maker of quality, and his violins have brought several thousand dollars at auction. His shop in Catania, Sicily, was established in 1890. He also built fretted instruments like this Bowlback mandolin from the 1920s. Condition is very good for its age, playable action, several small repairs and one small section of the back has been replaced. 27 ribs body, 334mm scale length, 28mm nutwidth. Does not include case or gigbag.
