Back in the 1950s, Ray Butts created the Filter'Tron pickup for Chet Atkins. These pickups have only grown in popularity since their inception and can be found on many classic and signature guitar models. Today, TV Jones has produced a faithful replication of Butts's Filter'Trons down to Butts's exact specifications.
Those who have ever had the pleasure of playing a guitar with vintage Filter'Trons don't need any further convincing. But for those who haven't been so lucky, these pickups have practically unparalleled hum-canceling features, an even frequency response, and more or less defined the sound of rockabilly.
Though quite a few variations of Filter'Trons have come into existence over the past few decades, none could compare to the originals. That is, until now. Stay tuned for more TV Jones news from NAMM 2017.
