Squish = "a continuously variable clipping threshold ... At minimum you have full clipping power and maximum distortion. As you turn the Squish knob up you raise the clipping threshold which opens up the tone of the pedal and makes it fuller in the midrange and louder overall. "
No gain control (no trim pot inside, either). Pedal is highly responsive to guitar volume knob and cleans up quite nice with lots of attack.
