Jack Dejohnette's 8pc Sonor Hilite Exclusive Drum Set

Here we have a very special piece of jazz drumming history. This is Jack Dejohnette's personal 8pc Sonor Hilite Exclusive drum set with copper plated hardware. Jack used this set extensively for over 25 years, in studio and live. Jack can be seen and heard using this set with luminaries such as: Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Keith Jarrett, Paul Simon, Esperanza Spalding, Dave Holland, Ornette Coleman and many more. You can see all this history and all this use when you look at the drums, as they are well road worn. Vast majority of this wear is strictly cosmetic, (chipped paint, scratches on the hardware etc.) with the exceptions being a couple stripped wing nuts on the stands and a small crack on the reso-side bearing edge of the 16" floor tom (that has since been repaired, see photos). There is a second crack on this same floor tom towards the batter side bearing edge, but it only seems to be on the outermost ply and doesn't go onto the bearing edge, so it's not much of a concern. These drums are ready to be set up, played, and admired for the rest of your life. The hardware is still fully functional despite any small issues, and drums sound amazing. This set also includes cases and extra hardware, all of which will be detailed in depth below.
