As a slope shoulder dreadnought, it combines traditional style with modern features and thus offers the best of both worlds. The combination of a solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany body provides a warm, balanced sound that makes this guitar a versatile instrument for stage and Studio. At the same time, the mahogany neck and short scale length offer comfortable handling for pure playing pleasure. Solid Sitka spruce top and mahogany bodyThe tonal characteristics of the Guild DS-240 Wine Red are impressive thanks to an exquisite selection of tonewoods. The solid Sitka spruce top gives the instrument a clear, assertive tone, while the laminated mahogany back and sides provide the necessary warmth and depth. This combination produces a harmonious, multi-faceted sound that is ideal for both fingerstyle and powerful strumming. Whether in quiet, intimate passages or in louder arrangements - this guitar always remains tonally balanced and assertive.Short scale lengthThe Guild DS-240 Wine Red also impresses with its outstanding playability, which is particularly comfortable thanks to the shortened scale length of 629 mm. This shorter scale length makes it easier to finger the chords and requires less effort, which benefits both beginners and experienced players. Meanwhile, the mahogany neck with the smooth rosewood fingerboard provides a smooth playing feel and offers an ideal balance between stability and flexibility. With the Open Guild Vintage 18 tuners, the tuning remains stable at all times, while perfectly underlining the traditional design. This makes every performance an effortless pleasure.
