Based on Dr. Robert Moog’s classic CP3 mixer circuit, the Manhattan Analog ‘CP3’ mixer module is a 3-input mixer using 100% discrete transistor topology, with no op-amps used in the design. Easily driven into saturation to produce both hard clipping distortion and more subtle waveshaping effects, this mixer is a key component of the classic Moog modular sound. Great for aggressive tones post-filter, or providing some gnarly harmonics on filters when patched pre-filter.

The gain stage has bipolar outputs, each exhibiting different distortion characteristics. An attenuverting output knob is provided, so the output level may be adjusted from 0 to max, in phase, or 180 degrees out of phase.  Not only is this useful for phase-sensitive applications like control voltages, but it allows access to a wider range of clipping or waveshaping effects for processing audio.
