Sabian 14" AA Holy China: Explosive Impact in a Compact Format

The Sabian 14" AA Holy China is a high-octane effect cymbal designed in collaboration with Chad Smith to deliver maximum volume and "trashiness" in a small footprint. Despite its 14" diameter, this mini-monster is engineered to be the loudest cymbal on your kit, providing a piercing, white-noise blast that clears the air instantly. It is the ultimate tool for drummers who need aggressive punctuation without the sustain of a larger china.

Acoustic Engineering for Maximum Cut

The Holy China’s unique "Swiss cheese" design isn't just for looks—it’s a precision-engineered sonic weapon:

• 36 Internal Holes: Featuring twelve sets of triple holes, this design drastically reduces the air resistance and mass of the cymbal. The result is a lightning-fast response and a trashy, distorted frequency response.
• High-Profile Raw Bell: The unlathed, high-profile bell provides structural rigidity and a dry, focused fundamental that helps the cymbal project through a wall of high-gain amplifiers.
• Bright AA Bronze: Crafted from Sabian's legendary B20 Bronze, the AA series "Modern Bright" characteristic ensures a shimmering, high-pitched "hiss" that cuts through any mix.

High-Velocity Performance

Designed for the modern heavy hitter, the 14" Holy China excels in high-speed applications:

• Sharp Attack & Short Sustain: Because of the hole patterns, the sustain is incredibly brief. This allows for staccato accents and rapid-fire "chops" that won't wash out your other cymbals.
• Stacking Potential: Its 14" size and flat-profile edge make it an elite candidate for stacking. Place it on top of a larger crash or China to create a crunchy, trashy "clap" sound.
• Aggressive Punctuation: Perfect for metal, gospel, and progressive rock where high-impact, immediate accents are a necessity.
