About this listing
This is a rare bird you don't see often. Legend has it this cymbal was quite beloved as it punched well above its weight, so much that Paiste discontinued it in 2006, where it ended as an Alpha and as a Sound Formula version respectively. When production ended, albeit in parallel with lots of line shuffling in the late 2000's from the good folks of Nottwil, Paiste kept the model but upgraded it into a Signature series only, where it stopped production in 2010.Oddly enough, I have not played the Sig' version but I did try the Sound Formula a while back, which had to be pretty darn close, and I think the Alpha was arguably the best execution of this strange crash. You won't see these come by often, and if you do - it won't be the Alpha version, which is the OG Crystal.
