About this listing
For sale is a truly exceptional and rare 1994 Epiphone Les Paul Classic Birdseye. Attributes:Made in Korea in 1994 (I believe the S on the serial number denotes Samick factory).Bought pre-owned from original owner, after hearing how it sounded.Condition:Very Good per Reverb’s classification; better-than-new when viewed in person, has aged very nicely;Does have a few indentations, mostly in the back from age and playing, which however are hardly noticeable;Stunning birdseye veneer, near flawless except for a clear cover on one spot near the edge of the body, apparently to protect from potential visible damage. By no means unsightly, noticeable only intentionally and when viewed from an angle.Neck and fretboard in excellent condition, guitar stays in tune all day long and plays with low action and no buzzes.Professionally upgraded with:The coveted (no longer in production) DiMarzio Virtual PAFs (DP196 neck and DP197 bridge, respectively), purchased "new old stock" from a major local retailer;Gotoh Nashville bridge, tailpiece, and metal jack plate;500k CTS pots with Orange Drops (was told that the holes did not have to be enlarged);New knobs and thumb-bleeders;Switchcraft 3-way toggle switch and output jack;Vintage wiring;Cavity shielding for noise elimination.Sound:Super resonant, very musical, loud acoustically;Pickups very well matched, very articulate, very rich tonally;“Intoxicating” vintage tones on all positions. Will give any LP a run for its money.Comes with:Original Epiphone gig bag;All original parts (including the pickups) that were replaced as per above. These Gibson-branded Epi LPs are rather rare, don't come around very often and sound awesome. Will be available for sale for a short period of time only.Don't hesitate to message me if you have any questions.
