Here is a 2023 Castedosa Guitars Marianna Semi-Hollow in Aged Shell Pink that features a bound semi-hollow Mahogany body, Alder top, 4A Flame Maple neck, bound Rosewood fretboard, block inlays, medium jumbo frets, 12″ radius, Mastery bridge and vibrato, Castedosa TS humbuckers and Kluson tuners. Carlos Lopez of Castedosa Guitars is prominently known as the past Fender Custom Shop Master Builder who brought the fabled Fender Marauder (a 1960’s prototype offset guitar that never went into production) into the mainstream. He has also built some of the most unique offerings the Fender Custom Shop has ever seen. Carlos is no stranger to building high-end guitars. His career as a luthier spans nearly two decades, designing and creating instruments for many of the worlds most recognized musicians.

Recently after choosing to leave Fender in order to spend more time with his family; Carlos has decided to move forward building under his own brand name Castedosa Guitars, alongside his wife Stephanie Lopez who winds the incredible pickups found in each unique Castedosa build.

This Marianna Semi-Hollow is finished in Aged Oxidized Shell Pink. The color was aged in a brilliant way, to make it look as if this guitar had spent many years on the road in smokey night clubs and bars. This Marianna is equipped with two Castedosa “TS-Humbuckers”. It features a 25.5” scale and is setup with 10-46 gauge strings. The available tones, build quality and feel are all top notch. This is also a light and balanced guitar, weighing in at 7lbs 3oz. The semi-hollow body is highly resonant and quite loud when unplugged.

The dual TS-Humbuckers wound by Stephanie Lopez, deliver rich PAF-type tonality with great clarity and note separation. They can be clear and focused when played clean while also sounding tremendous with some overdrive. These pickups are very touch sensitive and dynamic.

Between the Mastery Vibrato and Semi-Hollow body, you can conjure up some really cool controlled feedback, when bringing the guitars body close to an overdriven tube amp. You’ll also notice that they clean up extremely well with your guitars volume knob. The guitar also features an upgraded ”Dark Mole” tint finished 1/4” sawn 4A Flame Maple neck.
