About this listing
1982 Ibanez LR-10 GuitarThis instrument is in amazing condition; the body and neck are immaculate! There is one small 3/8”(?) piece of binding which has been replaced but it must have been done when the guitar was new because it is the same shade of aged binding as on the rest of the guitar. I also found a dimple in the finish just in front of the bridge; you have to be looking to see it. Otherwise, no scratches, bumps or chips.I have replaced the EMG pickups which were in it with Ron Ellis Pickups. My idea was to find the best 80s era Japanese guitar that I could find and match it with the very best pickups for versatility and overall expression. I feel that I was successful! The neck pickup is a Bill Frisell Pickup which was designed by Ellis, Frisell and the Collins Guitar folks. If that were the only pickup, I’d be satisfied. But then the Lee Roy Parnell in the bridge position puts this guitar in a class of its own. To create this pickup the bridge pickup from Duane Allmond’s 1957 Les Paul was used as a model. If you know about these pickups and the quality of these guitars, you know the value of this instrument. Ready to go!You can literally go wherever you want with this guitar. Vintage wiring style using Bumble Bee Capacitors and CTS Pots. The guitar was professionally set-up and the frets were leveled, dressed and polished beautifully. New Gotoh locking tuners (SG301-P4N) were added which were a perfect match for the screw holes of the original VelveTunes that came with the guitar. They are stored in the sturdy case along with the pickguard. This is a truly amazing guitar. I hope to find someone who will love this guitar and be able to take advantage of this wonderful guitar. Please feel free to ask any questions and thanks for your interest.
