Overview
The wild looking Guild X-79 and X-79-3 were produced in small numbers, with just under 200 specimens in existence. As a short-lived guitar that gave into some of the popular features of the '80s such as a Floyd Rose locking trem, 24-fret fingerboard and radical body shape, it is not highly sought after as a player guitar and only seen as a novelty in the collector's world. The three pickup X-79-3 is somewhat more collectable than the regular humbucker version.
