About this listing
Up for sale is a fantastic 1983 Guild D-25M, crafted at the legendary Westerly, Rhode Island plant. This is a true "Player Grade" (B-Grade) acoustic instrument that is packed with vintage character, structural stability, and that classic, booming Guild volume. This model features a solid Sitka Spruce top finished in a dark Mahogany stain ("M"), paired with Guild's famous unbraced, heat-pressed arched mahogany back. The arched back acts like a parabolic mirror, giving this guitar incredible natural projection and a deep, woody midrange that punches well above its weight class.Condition Notes (B-Grade / Player Grade):This guitar has been well-loved and played, showing typical cosmetic signs of a 40+ year vintage instrument (minor scuffs, surface dings, and finish checking). Bridge: There is a dark, localized cosmetic blemish/stain on the rosewood bridge wood. The bridge itself is solid, tight to the top, and fully structural. Fretboard: There is a matching dark wear mark on one of the frets/fretboard spaces. It does not affect string action, fretting accuracy, or playability. The neck joint is stable, the truss rod functions, and it plays beautifully up and down the neck. If you are looking for a pristine museum piece, this isn't it. But if you want an absolute powerhouse of an American-made vintage acoustic that you can take to gigs, campfires, or the studio without worrying about the first scratch, this D-25M is ready to roll.Ships securely in a guitar box, fully detuned for safety during transit.Case Included: Includes a vintage chipboard case. The case shows typical cosmetic age and wear but all latches work and it serves perfectly for storage and keeping the dust off.
