It's served him well but he's on to different beasties of a slightly-larger nature. These late-'50s versions of the model are often the best and this one certainly sounds excellent. It's got that woody, airy, dry, Gibson thing going-on, for sure. It has "that perfect" medium C neck shape, too. If you're looking for it, this has it.Repairs included: Jacobi gave this a level/dress of the frets, some cleaning, fit a new (compensated) saddle, and set it up. It's playing spot-on and ready to serve.Weight: 3 lbs 14 ozScale length: 24 5/8"Nut width: 1 11/16"Neck shape: medium-fuller C/soft VBoard radius: 10"Depth at first fret: 0.87"Depth at seventh fret: 0.95"Body width: 14 3/8"Body depth: 4 1/2"Top wood: solid mahoganyBack & sides wood: solid mahoganyBracing type: ladderBridge: rosewoodFretboard: rosewoodNeck wood: mahoganyAction height at 12th fret: 3/32” bass 1/16” treble (fast, spot-on)String gauges: 54w-12 lightsTruss rod: adjustableNeck relief: straightFret style: medium/mediumCondition notes: There's weather-check throughout the finish. There are scratches, scuffs, and small nicks and dings here and there as well. Still, it looks good and a lot better than most of these. I didn't find any cracks anywhere throughout. The bridge pins are likely replacements. It has a new saddle and an added strap button at the heel. The endpin area was drilled for an endpin jack and then later filled. We've fit a repro-style strap button there. I will note that the saddle is quite low at its high/low E locations. We didn't reset the neck and we're at full "summer moisture swell" for the top, so this is likely not to be an issue for some time as it's been stable like this for the owner for a while, now.It comes with: It will come with some sort of a case (it arrived in an oversized chip case but I likely have something nicer to throw-in).Consignor tag: DBSS
