Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You are looking at a very high quality 1970's era AKG D190E model dynamic cardioid microphone that comes with a nice AKG SA-30 model mic clip.

The D190E was a very popular mic set at Low impedance with a 280 OHMS setting giving you a very warm, smooth tone and an excellent frequency response of 30 - 15,000 HZ and was capable of competing with many quality American mics of that time like the Shure SM-58 and E.V RE10. It does have a distinct sound but it happens to be one of the most popular AKG mics from the 1970's and is excellent for singing and broadcasting purposes as it was designed.

Pic # 2 shows this very model in an old AKG catalog I have as well as the D190ES which had the on / off switch. The D190E does not have that function.

The D190E is a lite weight all metal deign that is very rugged in nature and on the smaller side as a stick mic. 6 1/4 inches long X 1 1/2 inch wide at the bezel of front grill. It has a nice gold / silver finish giving the mic a bit of bling factor. Very 70's vibe. The D190E is uni-directional as well blocking out most unwanted background noise.

As you can see the mic itself is in very nice overall physical condition. Just very lite scuff marks on the handle. The front screen is free of any tarnish, dents or odors and a new inner pop filter was installed as the original was all but gone. The AKG label looks fantastic and is completely legible. This greatly helps with sound characteristics and helps to secure the inner element. The XLR pins on this mic were cleaned a swell ensuring a perfect signal once a cable is attached. This was a very gently used microphone.

The D190E comes with the nice AKG SA-30 model mic clip which grips the mic firmly. The clip will tilt back and forth or side to side accordingly. The SA-30 has the unique swivel joint that allows you to turn the mic in any direction as needed. A very practical design and it's just as nice as the mic. The clip will screw onto any desk or floor stand you have. These clips alone sell for around $40.00 + so it really add value.

I would rate the mic a true 8 + on a scale of 1 - 10 though many would rate higher. I'm very picky with my mics though.

MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.

If you want a classic AKG mic that few others are using with superb sound then this will do you justice. This mic will only go up in value due to it's high demand and quality build.

As with all my vintage microphone and related items...

I can promise you will be happy with it for the price paid. If not...I have a no hassle return policy. The shipping will be on you as I believe that's fair but the purchase price would be refunded. Simply return in the same nice condition...period. Check my rating. International buyers are welcome as well. Buyer must pay within 24 hours or an unpaid case will be opened and the item will be immediately relisted. Domestic buyer will get priority shipping.

If you have any questions feel free to ask and...thanks for looking.
