Ovation MC868-4 Mandocello

This rare  25.25" scale MC868 Mandocello was originally developed by Ovation in 1995 and produced in limited numbers until 2002. Featuring a razor straight 5 piece mahogany/ maple neck and ebony fingerboard, AAA Sitka spruce top and Thinline pickup, this unique acoustic-electric Mandocello with its natural acoustic projection and choice of 1/4 inch and balanced XLR for stage and studio alike makes for unmatched performance capabilities. 

The only owner / player of this instrument was a first call Nashville session player which explains its careful maintainance and excellent condition. Currently tuned to standard CGDA and strung with .22 .35 .48. .70 the instrument is designed to handle alternate tunings and string guages, making the MC868 the rare and sought after mandocello you can actually take out and play. 

The neck is comfortable and the smooth action what you expect from a pro owner.
