These are just impossible to find. You can find the Guild S60's a fair amount and at fairly reasonable prices....but the 65's are ones!
They made them for 2 years in 1979 and 1980. Guild makes absolutely tippy top quality instruments. This one has a curved Rosewood Fingerboard and a mahogany body. The D stands for Dimarzio and this one is a flame thrower! It is crazy hot and sounds brilliant. It's a splittable super distortion. I am assuming it is splittable....either that our you can pull it out of phase. All the guitar tones are brilliant.
It's a 24 fret rarer than rare single humbucking beast. And no second pickup to retard string vibrations. And no neck joint to retard wood vibration. TONE, TONE, TONE!!!
This is a guitar that you play once and put away all your others!
There are some little body niggles which I've tried to put in the pics. Holler with questions before you buy.
I'll gladly take a return on something that is wildly off on description, but there is a 40% restocking fee to discourage after sale negotiators.
