Library of Congress C1 Variable Cassette Player

The Library of Congress started building their own cassette players for handicapped people from the 1960's until the late 2000's. These cassette players are known for their complete control of cassette tapes that other cassette players just don't have. The front control buttons have a strong and responsive feel with each press bringing a satisfying clicking noise. The player is capable of being both a plug in unit and portable with its integrated rechargeable batteries.

They are able to play regular two track stereo or mono cassettes backwards. Listing to recorded music backwards at a flip of a switch is one of my favorite features of this player.

The play at two different base speeds (15/16 or 1 7/8) with even more variability with a low to high slider to create the perfect pitch in each cassette loop. There is an aux in and out in 3.5 mm jack, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and 1/4" stereo plug out jack.

This unit has been serviced and the belts have been recently replaced. This cassette player will transform your music to the next level while being an awesome addition to the studio. This player is completely legal to own, the Library of Congress has stopped the distribution and services on them. They are a hidden gem with their number decreasing as most people don't know their recording studio capabilities! I am also shipping outside the US, these players are way too cool for only one country to have!
