OME banjos not only impress with their attractive design, high-quality craftsmanship, and professional sound—they are also among the instruments that hold their value best, as they are prized by many players around the world.
This 1987 Mogul banjo has the serial number 3336 on the inside of the body. The hardware is gold-plated but not engraved. The body, resonator, and neck are made of beautifully flamed maple. The neck is straight, and the action is low. The Oettinger tailpiece functions perfectly; the strings are tuned to CGDA.
Length: 87 cm
Scale length: 56.5 cm
Nut width: 29 mm
Head diameter: 11"
The instrument shows minor signs of age and wear, such as small paint chips or scuffs. The frets have been replaced, and the armrest is slightly dented. Two of the resonator screws are not original.
The banjo is well-played in, sounds fantastic, and comes in a used but high-quality fiberglass case from the English company Calton.
