Up for sale, a 1996 Matchless Cool Box in mint condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original box and warranty paperwork. Originally offered as a complimentary design to the Matchless Hot Box Overdrive, this uncommon preamp/boost pedal is powered by a 12AX7 tube and offers up to 25db of additional gain. Handwired with premium components in the USA, the Cool Box faithfully maintains signal integrity while delivering a smooth, warm tone with vintage amp-like character that can be meticulously dialed-in via its streamlined set of Volume and Tone controls.
There’s barely a mark on the enclosure, with pristine graphics and knobs. The inside of the unit is hand-numbered and signed by the builder.
