If you're a fan of Tame Impala, you know there is one piece of equipment that Kevin Parker will play through all day long : the obscure KTG1 dual channel tube preamp.

What about leaving the 19" rack world to the 90s and switching to the more compact pedal format ? This pedal is a BEAST, with two tube-driven channels running at true 275 high voltage, three boost options and a three-band EQ. It's designed for maximum versatility and will do way more than Lonerism tone if you take the time to master it.

Tonewise, the clean channel is very similar to what a Fender sounds like, and the added green boost mini-switch will push it just enough to make it crunch with your pick attack. The lead channel however is nothing like we know of. Raw, mid-focused, crunchy, just add a chorus pedal and you're back to the 80s heavy rock tones. Turn the gain know down to get a more classic sound back, or use the red boost mini-switch to tighten it further. The yellow boost footswitch increases the channel's overall volume and presence to cut through the mix during solos.
