All original Charvel model 3 by Jackson / Charvel. Made in Japan, 1986. Back plate reads "Charvel by Jackson Charvel, serial 227836, Fort Worth USA" A much sought after model, it is still in great condition.
This Charvel was made in Japan during the 80's using USA parts so build quality is second to none. Comes with a solid basswood body for amazing sound and sustain, finished in shiny black, a maple neck and rosewood fretboard.
Comes with the usual super strat configuration of USA made Kahler Floyd rose trem, 2 single coils and 1 humbucker - very nice range of sounds. Perfect for vintage / rock / metal / blues and many other styles.
The Charvel Model 3 is a (super)strat guitar made in Japan in the eighties by the company Kyowa - Shokai under contract by IMC (International Music Corp). Grover Jackson chose a pointy headstock design that was popular among a new generation of guitar players. The Charvel Model 3 differs from the Charvel Model 1 in that it has an HSS pickup configuration. The neck was a Quarter-Sawn maple neck, with a compound radius 12"-16" maple finger board.
Other specifications
Jackson SG38-07B Machine heads
One volume knob, one tone knob
The 1986 version has a pickguard and a Kahler 2520 tremolo but the following years don't have a pickguard and feature a Jackson JT6 Vibrato.
This baby is in great condition for her age. Just a small scratch on the front and normal usage scratches on the back.
You don't find many of these guitars around - Grab yourself a good example of a quality and rare Charvel model 3 guitar!
