A true vintage Martin from the late 70s! This 1978 Martin D-28 has been played extensively, which is evident both in its appearance and sound! The body shows numerous signs of wear, which is to be expected from a true workhorse after 48 years. Technically, this Martin is in perfect working order and sounds fantastic. The narrow 43mm nut width encourages rapid chord changes. The neck profile is a medium to wide C with a slight V. Even with a gentle touch, it produces powerful and full chords. Simply a great, well-played dreadnought that will easily provide music for another 5 decades!The instrument is free of cracks, breaks, or major repairs. Only the bridge saddle and nut have been replaced with high-quality bone. The original tuners have been replaced with Grover tuners. Furthermore, an LR Baggs Lyric system has been installed for live performance. This system is minimalist and sounds very natural.
