We are selling this beautiful vintage toy piano from the 1950s, featuring a 25-key keyboard and a fully mechanical action with real wooden hammers striking metal tines (glockenspiel-style sound production).

This instrument was sourced from a private home on the French Riviera, and we believe it to be of French origin. However, as it is unbranded, it could also possibly be of Italian manufacture from the same period.

Unlike many lower-quality toy pianos, this instrument produces a clear, bell-like tone thanks to its internal metal tines. Even more importantly, it is fully working and surprisingly well tuned for its age, making it not only a decorative piece but also a genuinely usable musical instrument.

The keyboard is made of plastic (typical for the period), while the internal action uses wooden hammers, giving it a charming, almost “real piano”-feel when played. The front panel can be opened by loosening the two side screws, allowing access to the keyboard and the internal mechanism.
