Newly served Marshall 1986 50w bass head amp from 1973!As you can see it is in excellent condition considering its age of 53 years this December 25th. On the front and back pictures of the amp you can see holes from an old ’master volume’ mod that has since been removed and then restored to original. Nothing was removed during said mod, there were only new parts added and removed once it was restored. The amp was serviced a year ago, ensuring it’s still running strong. During that service, the original green 10% tolerance power resistors (which had started to swell) were replaced with high-quality ceramic 5% tolerance resistors for improved durability. This, in combination with the new JJ E34L power tubes, slightly increases the output to approximately 55–60 watts, delivering a hotter, more dynamic tone than the stock 50W rating.It still has its original sound, but once you get to cranking the volume knobs you’ll get that twang like on a super lead plexi, except that this one has more bass and mids giving it a very wide spectrum of sound and a lot of options in what type of sound you want it to have. Also worth noting: this is a real deal ‘70s Marshall, so it’s significantly louder than most modern 50-watt amps.it comes with its original bass bottom 2x12 McKenzie speakers cab from around the same year.
