Alter Ego Basso EUB - mid-00s - Amber/natural

Here we have a Basso, the electric upright double bass by Italian maker, Alter Ego. This bass plays, sounds, and looks amazing. It has some blemishes, which are pictured. The fingerboard is a dream and the wood grain is beautiful.

Please note that the foil covering the piezo pickup film has separated, and that this in no way affects the function or operation of the piezo pickup. Everything sounds and works as good as new.

The action is fully adjustable via a tri-key / tri-wrench, which is included. The key goes in the back of the instrument and adjusts very easily.

The preamp includes a blend control so you can use either the piezo pickups, the microphone pickup, or a blend of both.

Included are all the accessories and gear; the super sturdy stand, and two bags. Both are quite compact and incredibly well constructed. One bag is for flights/subways/car trunks etc., which allows you to remove the neck of the bass before travel. This bag measures: 35 x 5.5 x9 inches (which is considerably smaller than a Reunion Blues telecaster bag).

It's a pretty ingenious design. Set-and forget so action does not need to be reset each time the bass is reassembled

The taller bag allows you to transport the instrument with the neck installed, and the fins & endpin removed. The dimensions of this bag are: 59 x 8.5 x 8 inches.
