I built this solid state high-quality stereo power amplifier during a professional workshop and since then it has only been used for a few days in my home studio for testing.
Only highest quality/oversized components were used throughout, together with high quality, passive monitorspeakers (not included!) perfect for Recording, Mixing and Mastering.
Here the specs:
- Completely discrete circuit design
- Power: ≈240 Watts (2x120 Watts, 4Ω)
- Very clean/linear amplification
- 2x RCA input socket
- 2x Speakon speaker socket
- Mundorf 4.7yF Supreme silver/oil coupling capacitors
- 230 volt toroidal transformer
- Fully passive cooling (no noise!)
- Solid wood front panel with built-in power LEDs
- Length: 39 cm (15.4") - Width: 32,5 cm (12.8") - Height: 13,2/12,5 cm/5.2"/4.9" (with/without rubber feet)
- Weight: ≈8 kg (17 lbs)
The unit does not have a volume control itself, but in the studio there should be some kind of monitor-/volume-controller anyway.
