Vintage Quad 22 Stereo Tube Preamp, Phono Module, Upgraded, Restored, Ex Sound

Restored, upgraded and improved legendary Quad 22 Stereo Tube preamp. It comes with the rare Phono Module and Tape modules that plug into the back of the preamp. All restoration and improvements were done by a Pro Audio Tech. The Quad 22 had some its original parts replaced as they were out of spec. The Audio Tech used audiophile grade parts.  This preamp derives power from the Quad II power amplifiers and needs to be used with Quad II power amps, as they were made for each other.  It has vintage European and USA tubes, 2 EF86s and 2 12ax7s. It is all point to point wiring, with the incomparable late 1950s UK Quad design, craftsmanship, attention to detail, parts quality, unique features, performance and musicality. It sounds superb, open, detailed, dynamic, extended, involving, transparent, quiet, smooth, natural and very musical. The Quad 22 has unique filtering and several different Phono equalization settings. The included module is for the more current and common RIAA equalization. As mentioned, this preamp is updated, restored and improved. It comes with the Quad 2 amplifer original cables and original power cord for the 22.  It has some scuffs and small discolorations, nothing too serious, faceplate looks good.
