This has got to be one of the most desirable of Alembic Basses ever produced, the Short Scale Bass made famous by none other than my mentor, Stanley Clark, whom I personally learned every lick from Clarke’s “School Days” album back in 1976, this is an early production bass, made for a fellow named Greg Criss as its engraved brass truss rod cover states, its made with wonderful front & back laminations of Flamey Koa Wood w/a 3 piece body & center core, its neck-thru body is constructed from 5 pieces of maple & purple heart, its front & back laminations of its headstock are a matched set of Koa wood, its got stock Series 1 electronics w/its dummy-hum center pickup making what most people say is the ultimate bass tone on Earth, I can agree, factory LED side markers w/a factory master volume knob, new list base price is in excess of $22,200. today, she’s exceptionally clean overall & 100% original, its got a new Boogieman mini power supply & cord in its pocket in its original blue tolex hard case.
