About this listing
The Lovepedal Purple Plexi 100 (or the handwired 100HW version) is a boutique overdrive/distortion guitar pedal (often described as a "Marshall-in-a-box") manufactured by the American company Lovepedal.Amp inspiration: The pedal is designed to emulate the legendary overdriven tone of British Marshall amplifiers—ranging from a light JTM45-style crunch and the classic 1968 Plexi sound to the powerful, saturated mids and aggressive character of a JCM800 when the gain is maxed out.It is highly responsive to guitar volume adjustments and picking dynamics (touch-sensitive), allowing the player to clean up the overdrive sound without turning off the pedal.Circuit and controls: The 100/handwired version is often based on a modified COT50 circuit combined with a MOSFET recovery stage (in the HW version), featuring controls for volume, tone/frequency, and saturation (gain/drive).Power supply: Standard 9V DC (center-negative) or 9V battery; current draw is approximately 10 mA.Mint condition; includes original box and documentation; power supply and battery not included.
