This 1989 Gibson Les Paul Custom, serial number 83439529, with all potentiometer dates marked g89,h was built in 1989. It features a classic wood combination: a maple top and mahogany back body, a short-tenon mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard. It is equipped with the original HB-R/L pickups. Known as gBill Lawrence pickups,h the HB-R/HB-L was developed in collaboration with Bill Lawrence to meet the high-gain preferences of the era. Combined with this guitarfs weight of 4.35 kg, it delivers a strong midrange presence, fast-attacking highs, tight lows, and a well-balanced tone. The pickguard is missing, and the parts show signs of tarnish, rust, and peeling or lifting plating. Weather checking is visible across the headstock and body, and there is paint fading on the headstockfs tapered section. The top of the headstock has paint chips, cracks, and dents, and there is a small dent with a paint crack on the 9th fret of the neck. There is paint cracking extending from the rear escutcheon to the neck joint on the top of the body, and there are numerous scratches and dents throughout the instrument.
