Up for sale is a stunning, limited-edition Martin 000-EC 30th Anniversary Eric Clapton Signature. Released to commemorate three decades of the historic partnership between Martin and Eric Clapton, this model captures the spirit, vintage feel, and unmistakable tone of the pre-war 000-28 Clapton famously played during his legendary 1992 MTV Unplugged performance.
This specific instrument is in Excellent Condition. It has been meticulously cared for in a smoke-free, humidity-controlled studio environment. The top finish a beautiful, warm hue, and the action is incredibly comfortable—dialed in for effortless fingerstyle and expressive blues bending.
Tone & Playability
The pairing of a solid Sitka Spruce top and solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides yields a deep, mature voice. It gives you the signature punchy, compressed midrange of a 000 body, balanced by clear, bell-like highs and a warm bass that never gets muddy. Unlike standard 000-28EC models, the 30th Anniversary edition features an Authentic 1939 neck profile paired with a narrower, highly comfortable 1 11/16" and a Standard Taper, making it an absolute joy to play up and down the neck.
Condition Notes
- Body & Finish: Excellent overall condition. Looks stunning. The gloss finish is clean, deep, and brilliant. One tiny ding in the finish near the herringbone.
- Neck & Frets: The genuine mahogany neck is perfectly straight, and the dark ebony fingerboard shows next to no fret wear. One small imperfection on one of the inlays.
- Hardware: The premium nickel open-gear butterbean tuners turn smoothly and hold pitch perfectly.
- Case: Like new
- Modifications/Electronics: None. This is a pure, unmodified acoustic instrument just as it left the Nazareth factory.
