YAMAHA PB-400 Vintage MIJ Precision Bass with OHSC & Original Accessories

This is a YAMAHA PB-400, manufactured in the late 1970s.

A Japanese-made Precision Bass-style instrument from Yamaha's highly regarded vintage era, known for its powerful tone, excellent craftsmanship, and outstanding build quality.

Despite being approximately 45 years old, this bass has been exceptionally well preserved and remains in excellent condition for its age.

It comes with the original hard case, finger rest, bridge cover, owner's manual, and tool bag, making it a particularly desirable example with nearly all major original accessories included. The only missing accessory is the pickup fence.

Additionally, all four original tuner tension adjustment screws are still present, a detail that is often missing on surviving examples.

The bass has been fitted with a new set of strings, and the output jack has been upgraded to a reliable Switchcraft jack. The original factory jack is also included.

Prior to listing, the instrument was thoroughly inspected and professionally adjusted, making it ready to play immediately upon arrival.
