This guitar is a Ken Lawrence Custom Explorer-style six-string, entirely hand-built by Kenneth G. Lawrence in Arcata, California (USA).

Construction & Tonewoods
- Body: Genuine Honduran Mahogany
- Neck: Genuine Honduran Mahogany
- Reinforced with graphite spars
- Equipped with a dual-acting truss rod for long-term neck stability
- Top & Headcap: Quilted Maple, dyed black
- Fingerboard: Gabon Ebony with blind binding
- Rear control cavity cover & truss rod cover: Matching Ebony
Inlays & Appointments
- Position markers: Fiber-optic combined with white Mother of Pearl
- Logo: White Mother of Pearl set in an ebony surround
- Knobs: Water buffalo horn
Hardware
- Tuners: Sperzel locking tuners
- Bridge & Tailpiece: TonePros locking system (black hardware)
- Bridge saddles: Titanium
- Strap locks: Schaller
- Frets: Large stainless steel frets
Electronics
- Originally fitted with EMG 60/81

- Hand-rubbed polymerized tung oil, containing polyurethane solids for increased protection
- Finished with a dark cabinet-maker’s paste wax
- This oil & wax finish enhances the natural resonance of the wood while remaining fully serviceable and restorable over time
