This is a very rare snaredrum! It’s a 14” x 6,5” Premier so called “No.2” Super Ace snare from the 1950s. it’s a chrome over steel snare with the super ace parallel mechanic and lever, which runs incredibly smooth (also shown in the video).

The snare has the beautiful ‘beer barrel’ die cast hoops and is overall in great condition. It has some very mild scratches of usage and a little dent in the shell (see pictures - difficult to capture in a photo though. All parts are original, including the snare wires. The only part that has been changed is the demping part of the internal muffler (see picture).

The sound of the snare is just fantastic. Way less boxy than you’d expect from a 70 year old, yet not as loud and shouting as other steel snares can be (see video).

The snare can be shipped worldwide from the Netherlands. Please have a close look at all the pictures before making any purchase. Feel free to reach out for any additional info or pictures.
